Nazim

My Story

Nazim Erdem became a quadriplegic at 20 after a shallow-water diving accident while trying to impress a few girls. Rather than letting that moment define him, he went on to represent Australia in wheelchair rugby at five Paralympic Games, winning two gold and two silver medals.

Nazim has always loved a challenge and still enjoys chasing an adrenaline rush through travel, racing and even paragliding. Today, he shares his experiences as a mentor, presenter and disability advocate, helping others see that setbacks don’t have to stop you from living a big life.
